Stop Drooling

Slovenia’s massive summer hit: Obriši sline. (Roughly: Wipe away your drool)

I’ve come back from Berlin and am settling in at home. I will write about my impressions of the almost-to-be Welthauptstadt Germania tomorrow. In the meantime, I leave you all to enjoy Slovenian singing miracle Natalija Verboten’s latest single. Unfortunately, YouTube doesn’t have a “loop endlessly” function, so you’ll have to manually press play an additional 50-100 times (depending on your tastes) when the video finishes.

It’s nice to be back.

It’s nice to have you back!

I have to admit it was a special kind of joy to see your new post in my rss reader, not just new comments. I’m looking forward to read about your adventures. ;)

I can’t see or hear Natalija Verboten anymore without thinking of your design for Slovenia’s euro coins. Why did they ignore you? Why?!

Ha ha … A comeback with style! :-)
    Sort of.

In case anyone missed it… Natalija V. hosted a “Tribute to Avsenik” yesterday evening (live on TVSLO, of course). Two things caught my eye: Her left and right boob. Now: either she had a new tit job, or that was one helluva push-up bra. Man, she must need a permit for those! :D

I can’t help it, I tried, I honestly did try, but she simply is not sexy, hot or whatever. I can imagine her milking cows or goats, the rest…

    How about milikng her? ;)

BigWhale: There’s a place not far from us, Hrastovec, that treats people who are profoundly mentally ill. Perhaps some electro-shock therapy might be able to help? Or some good ol’ fashioned clockwork orange style therapy? There are options!

    Hei Michael!

Welcome back! You forgot to mention one crutial thing in your post and that is to watch newest video from Forbidden Natalija with the MUTE mode on. She really has lung quality but unfortunatly her sound quality is not on the same level(at least for my taste) and you get more enjoyment from using just the set of your eyes instead of eyes&ears combination ;)

And don’t forget to keep us posted about what’s new in Carniola! It’s really good to have you back.

Sorry for the double post, that guy with her is NOT a Slovene is he? He lacks that special almost Scandinavian blondeness.

Is it just me or does she look different in every picture I see of her? (i.e. her facial features) She looks decent in this video, although I still don’t see what Michael M see in her. :) Different strokes for different folks I guess. :P Or I guess I may need to go visit that mental institute Michael M was talking about. ;)

Mr Manske… welcome back. We… missed you.

I don’t see anything in her… neither on video nor in real life. ¿Es grave, doctor?

I did wipe away my drool - from the monitor. You see, I laughed so hard at the video it flew out of control …

OK, OK: I can’t make it to Hrastovec but I am sure I’ll find something here.

my girlfriend always tells me that slovenians just can’t make good music. it’s like a national dysfunction or sth.. I try and convince her that she’s wrong but ppl like Natalija is making it hard.. However, there is some gold nuggets to be found in the underground..

Oh, and my girlfriend is 100% slovene.

@gandalf - Well I’d say Siddharta is pretty good, and a group that breaks that clichè. I also found another Slovene song recently “DJ Sylvain - Stop the world”, (from what I read Sylvain is a slovene musician too). That is another good song, of course if you don’t like electronic music you might not like it. Also I don’t think the woman providing the vocals on that song is Slovene but I could be wrong.

Michael, I know, I know! I really did try, I mean I have this unexplainable fascination with endowed females. :P But with Natalija, it really doesn’t help. Simple logic would say that I SHOULD be drooling. I mean she’s probably a Double D, but it doesn’t do nothing for me…

    … maybe I’m just ill…

    ;)

We can make good music! Hell yeah! But most of the A-list singers don’t own a grandiose G-cup and that’s why they don’t get as much publicity as Ms. Verboten, Špelca from Atomic Harmonik or Saška Lendero(who allegedly enlarged her “musical” potential-that meanwhile fits in her bra-with massage).Try listening to Silence, Siddharta, Vlado Kreslin, Terra Folk, Perpetuum Jazzile etc. They make decent, sometimes even great, stuff.

well, ofc slovenes can make good music. The problem is in what gets distributed :)

It’s a good thing Hrastovec is a big enough castle, because it seems that plenty of you could use some time in there.

And I agree with Barbara*P about the music: there is some really great stuff. I’ll eventually post a Best Of contemporary music. Soon, I hope.

Oh, man … she does look amazing in this video, she really does. And the song isn’t bad either!

Mare get your hearing checked. It’s obviously sth wrong with it…but look on the bright side, your sight is perfectly OK;)

Michael I have a secret to share with you…I went to a same gym class as Ms. Natalia and I saw her in her underwear(my bf is still angry with me for not taking a picture of her with my cell phone)…How jelaus does that make you, ha? Will you be able to sleep at all?
