Pampers Completes Mussolini’s Mission

diaper-duce.jpg
Pampers & Mussolini: An unstoppable combination.

If you go to the official Pampers page, click on Europe and highlight Italy, you’ll notice that Slovenia has been absorbed into the Boot. Just like Big Ben would have wanted.

For shame…

(Thanks to Big Whale and Borut!)

People from Pampers already responded and apologized and promised that they will fix this error by the end of next week.

Mail of the angry user (my fellow Mensan):
    Dear Sir/Madam,

In your ignorance you have annexed the country of Slovenia to the territory of the Italian republic on your on-line world map. Such mistreatment cannot be accepted. I expect your error will be dismissed and your disrespect and discrepancy corrected.

    Sincerely,
    Xxxx Xxxxxxxx

    Their reply:
Thanks for getting in touch with this information

I passed it to our technical team who assured me this issue is being resolved and should be visible by end of next week.

I am sorry for any distress or disappointment caused and can assure you this was certainly not our intention.

Thank you again for your assistance.

    Kind regards,
    Oda, Consumer Relations

And not only Slovenia, but also Istria. You have stumbled upon a sinister plan…

According to www.parmers.si, they’re going to annex it to Hungary, now.

    It’s www.pampers.si, of course.

Mussolini must be spinning in his lavish crypt.

historix: Good Lord, you’re right! Pampers.si is in Hungarian. The plot thickens!

    Unbelievable!

Actually it just looks like the Pamper.si link is redirecting to the www.pg.hu site.

And now for some good news: there is no pampers.hr.

    OMG! :)

So the Italians are ressurecting the “Mare Nostro” plan, whereas the Hungarians went about using IT to do what they couldn’t do in a 1000 years :)

So, Michael… What was it that you were talking about launching another web-crusade? Here’s a worthy goal: Getting the web’s maps right :)

I can’t believe it. WTF? How do people make web pages if they don’t have access to the internet? Let’s wait until the end of the week waiting for Pampers people to fix the mistake …

Even the Hungarian version on www.pampers.si has a strange map. It features
united Czechoslovakia, united pre-1991 Yugoslavia without Istria (sunken by atomic bomb?) and politicaly divided Great Britain. Do these people know something we don’t? Perhaps this is just a commercial, so that we would laugh ourselves until we shit in our pants, thus realizing that we need their adult diaper products.

Pengovsky: How about a movement called Help For Geographically Challenged Corporations And Small Businesses?

    Short: HFGCCASB

Its members have to search for such maps regularly and write e-mails to the culprits’ representatives. And publish the results.

    Let us all join together.

    Michael,
I think you should be given credit for finding this highly appropriate picture of Benito as he seems to be wearing some primitive version of Pampers.
That, or he was a participant in the highly competitive Italian version of this Mexican sporting event.

Darko: You don’t want to see the original guy who was wearing the diaper pre-photoshop, although you can probably tell that he’s way too old to wear them.

We really need to get some kind of Justice League started. I’ll give it some thought in the next few days.

Moreover Albania, Montenegro, and Serbia were merged to a Balkan version of the Axis of evil ;-)

If EU sometimes doesn’t get it, why would the corporations. It happened before:
    brezdlake.blogspot.com/2006/12/slovenija-izvedla-anschluss-italije.html
On the map, Slovenia and Italy are one, and so are Romania and Bulgaria. Barroso is of course smiling as usual.
