    Michael: it shouldn’t be too difficult to make that post longer :-D : the DUDEN dictionary of Yiddish includes information on the origin of words and only a little additional research would be necessary to mention some more. And Yiddish is fascinating.
    Since Slovenians are also to be found everywhere around the world: I wonder if their Slovenian has undergone comparable linguistic developments…
