Driving 299 km/h through Slovenia. Click to start, or go here.
At this speed, you could make it from from Ljubljana to Maribor in around 20 minutes. Or go from Ljubljana to Bratislava in an hour. That is, if there were no toll booths. Or police cars.
But now that you know how Slovenes drive, take a look at this video of a slightly slower drive through a Slovenian village by Justin, whose time here has come to a close.
Happy trails, Justin!

Wow, popping wheelies at 200 kph. Somebody has a death wish!
Although I must say I don’t mind fast drivers, or unlimited speed limits (like in Germany in someplaces). IMO, it weeds out the bad drivers…well that and darwinism.
Had I actually been in the vehicle in the 2nd video; I think I would’ve have jumped out and started running! He’s so Sloooowwww!!! And the music could be a form of torture in some places. ;P
Ifandwhen the guy in the first video gets in an accident, I just don’t want to hear whining like “he was only doing 130 this time, honestly”, and “he took care of his grandma and was tending her carrot patch” or some other stupid shit. The driving is impressive, of course, but no whining afterwards. Posle jebanja nema kajanja.
Disaster. My comment: murderers like this sick asshole should be in jail for the rest of their life. This is not a joke but reality on our roads. On Slovenian highways you can drive like you wish. There is absolutely no traffic control in Slovenia. Crazy people, crazy land without culture…
i’m less impressed than annoyed at people who drive on motorcycles between the lanes and other traffic, that presumably is already doing 120 or so. what an idiot the bus should catch up and teach him a lesson about how slovenians drive.
And I thought I was crazy. I share the need for speed but the guy on the first video is just plain reckless. Obviously he can drive, but there’s a chance other people don’t. I don’t mind him risking his life, but endangering others? Jeez…
@Tomaz - Well I doubt he will be murdering anybody while driving a bike, most likely outcome, will be his ending up a stain on the roadway.
@pengovsky - I would say it’s a fact (not a chance) that some on the road can’t drive. I have to say though during my time on Slovenian roads and Europe in general; I’ve noticed Europeans are much better drivers than Americans. It’s not even close!!
My biggest pet peeve is slowpokes sitting in the passing lane backing up traffic. That and mini-van drivers. I’m glad to see that the American style mini-van hasn’t made it over to Europe yet…hopefully it stays that way!
Ok, I can’t wath the second video because they’re blocking youtube in my office but the idiot in the first one is a danger to the public. It would be much more relaxed, if speed limits would be controlled more often…
but these guys seem to prefer controlling slower objects…
That guy on the bike must have the smallest penis in the world!
I think I saw that idiot two years ago and he had a friend. They were passing me by at an insane speed on the way from Kranj to Menges and narrowly escaped a crash when a car came from the opposite direction. Morons…
@@Michael N - Not true. Let’s say that the bike has twice the velocity of a car it crashes to, and 10% of its mass. This bike has enough momentum to change the trajectory of a car after the crash, thus pushing it out of the road. He’s an idiot and should be put in prison. In fact, by him violating article 327 of Penal Code of the Republic of Slovenia, it is a duty of our police to check for the source of this video and put this case in prosecution.
What an idiot!
@historix - what your suggesting is only true if he runs square into the back end of another vehicle. Even then I doubt it would effect the other car that much. Unless the guy is flat blind that’s not going to happen.
A real-life example. On a 3 lane highway. A ferrari was at a dead stop (middle lane), a Buick (driver wasn’t watching the road) ran into it at 110 kph. The Ferrari went straight forward about 4 car lengths(w/ the driver unconscious). Watched it in my rear-view, then the Ferrari hit me.
Most likely a cyclist would be sideswiped which would pretty much knock out only the motorcycle..unless a tire blows out or the driver over compensates.
I have to say though that speeding is harped on too much for causes of accidents.
The bigger problem is people actually using proper procedures while driving. One thing I see too much of are people sitting in the passing lane like they own the lane.
Legally you’re only supposed to be in the left lane when passing.
Darn my message was cut. Here is the rest.
That is a foreign concept to most US drivers. Many times you’ll see 4 lane Interstates with all the left lanes full of traffic and the right lanes empty. This causes people to zig-zag out of lanes making it more dangerous to pass. Also people have bad habits of not checking their mirrors/blind spots when changing lanes as well.
Even if nobody drove over the speed limit you’d still have a few idiots driving 20 under in the passing lane, still causing the same problems.
He should take our letter from bratislava to ljubljana with his motorcycle

Thanks for adding my little video to this nice article of yours. I am not far and Slovenia is always with me.I should make a video of Croatian roads soon-ha.
Well, don’t know what’s worse, if highway (go under 140 km/h and see the neck veins of the daddy-bought-me-an-audi idiot behind you explode of rage) or the combination “village-road too small for 2 cars”+”happy bikers without a nice lane for themselves”+”idiot who chooses to ovetake bikers in the sharpest turn possible”… which everytime i go around ends up with me finding a car coming against me in my own lane.
Really… slovenes drive worse than portuguese. And that’s a saying.
But half of them are proud of it, anyway. And what would the “041344443 sreÄ?no” girl on the radio talk about if they weren’t crashing all days in the same 20 km portion of highway?
I’ve noticed Europeans are much better drivers than Americans. It’s not even close!!
Isn’t it because of driving schools?
re. 327.Ä?l. KZ - I’m not so sure speeding can be interpreted as falling in this category.
Already seen this video… but in Italy, it’s old.
Bye.
