“Bio pašteta iz shita = Organic pâté made of shit ?

If someone could explain this label, which was photographed in a Tuš supermarket, I’d be grateful. What in the world were they trying to say?

(Thanks Barbara!)

That could be the answer. But it’s funny anyhow. :D I’m surprised they don’t check their labels for mistakes like this one. ;)

And they are not called Shitake but Shiitake…

A few years ago the japanese actually did make a steak out of shit. They did a sort of a shit recycling experiment and they actually distilled enough protein and fat material out of sewage, that they could make a steak out of it. Looks like this procedure actually yielded marketable products. :P

Rox: sure they did. And right now, they’re building a fleet of mega-robots that will scour the Earth and kill off all cattle, forcing everybody to eventually have to buy their steaks.

You shouldn’t believe everything you hear about Japan. Sure, there’s plenty of wacko stuff there, but in the end, 90% of all the outrageous stuff you hear about it on the internets is not true or extremely exagerated.

About the sign: man, the 20 characters limit sure comes out awkward in this one. :)
