Slovenia according to Uncyclopedia

uncyclopedia-slovenian-flag.jpg
Slovenia’s flag, according to parody site Uncyclopedia. (source)

Uncyclopedia is a parody of Wikipedia that grew out of this page of bad jokes and deleted nonsense.

Here is their entry for Slovenia.

That’s new. Last time I remember checking it was the Slovakia flag, I think. Lacking originality, it was, but still half-decent.

That is hilarious! I almost chocked on my breakfast when I read this:
    - President: Bald vegan hippy on drugs.
    - Prime Minister: Bald drunk farmer.

Well, seeing as how last week when I last saw the site, the Slovenia article had a slovene flag as-is, and the croatian flag in the Croatia article had some sort of swastika in it, I’d say there is some sort of ridiculous juvenile war going on between one or more dorks and/or schoolboys of each nationality. And the Hanžek photos atest to the Slovenes’ valued trade-mark selfcentered aggression.
As for Uncyclopedia, the idea itself is perhaps noble, but not quite as sustainable as wikipedia. While many people can write thorough and concise articles, not so many can write good parody. The result is as seen - a lengthy, mostly dead-boring article with the occasional pearl. Not worth it, IMO.

‘Edit wars’ do seem to be common round those parts. I would venture they might just extend to Serbia as well - surprise, surprise.

Speaing of edit wars, here’s an interesting, quickly reverted contribution to the wikipedia article on the Slovene war of 1991: en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Ten-Day_War&oldid=53296725

A fair and balanced account of how Slovenia got away easy because the Yugoslaw army was just too humane to stoop to the petty guerilla level of the ungrateful and backstabbing Slovenes. Based on such accurate accounts as the Yugoslaw army reports and statements of officers’ wives.

Cornelius that was the most pathetic post ive ever read. You’re Pro-Serbia rant is so full of b.s. that I can smell it from here.

You expect anyone to believe that poor Serbia was so kind and gentle and that evil Slovenia and Croatia are at fault for everything??

Either Rob doesn’t get it or is just playing silly, I guess. Or was I the only one to sense a touch of sarcasm in Cornelius’ comment?

Either Pengovsky doesnt get it or is just playing silly? Or was he the only one that didnt see the sarcasm in my last post :)
