From the Slovenia After Six trailer. Click here to watch it.

Not many movies have “Slovenia” in their title. In fact, according to IMDb, none do. If you look at IMDb’s search results, the closest you’ll find (among English-language films) is the UK television series “A Place in Slovakia.” (Hmmm. No comment.)

But that’s all going to change in February 2007, when the New Zealand-produced film “Slovenia After Six” is scheduled to make its world premiere. The trailer for this “seat-of-your-pants, zero-budget” film is already online, although the producers admit on their FAQ page that it has pretty much nothing to do with Slovenia:

Q: What’s Slovenia got to do with the title?
OK, time to ‘fess up. Pretty much nothing - the title started life as a mixed up predictive text message. We both thought that would be a cool title for a film. But there is also a tenuous link to something in the film regarding Slovenia, to watch out for.

Interestingly, the film has the support of Slovenia-friendly retailer Harvey Norman.

(Thanks Mark!)
