Snow on Pohorje, May 1, 2006.
After some miserable rainy dark days, the clouds finally seem to be lifting. And just in time for May Day/International Workers’ Day/Walpurgis Night/EU Day, or whatever it is. I’m off to enjoy the welcome respite of sunshine. See you after the holidays! (Wednesday)

Happy May Day!
Michael,
Thanks for the explanation of the phenomenon on the picture. Otherwise, I would have assumed it to be a touch of Spring Smog. May your workers unite and, in unison, chear you on to productive holidays!
Here, I’ll be enjoying a few glasses of wine from Brda, the first decent vintages form SLovenia or Croatia available here in the states. (In the recent past, we’d been forced to drink that rot-gut Adria wine whenever we felt the need to bond with the homeland.)
So. I lift a glass of Rebula to you. SUmmer is almost upon us!
Sretan Prvi Maj!
Beautiful picute with or without snow!
Is this from Maribor? Then I would guess the arrow shows the Rogla hill on Pohorje.
