How to Park Without Culture

kolturn.jpg
Theis cardboard sign contains a dire warning.

This sign says, in Fuđinian Slovene:

Ker nisi kolturn   (Because you’re not cultured)
boš imel vse 4 gume prazne drugiÄ?   (you’ll have all 4 tires empty next time)
LiÄ?no jih bom jaz   (personally will I [do it])
Žali se kerm hoÄ?eš   (complain to whomever you want)

It’s almost like a free-form haiku, isn’t it? Too bad the driver is probably too uncultured to recognize it as such.

(Thanks Dejan!

Just another indication of how artistic/cultured Slovenia is to seemingly always have some material (in this case a large piece of cardboard) readily available for a Slovene’s sudden urge to spout art, in this case poetry.
Perhaps next time, the anonymous artist will simply take a brush in hand and use the car as a palette for his expressions.

A less civilized culture would have simply picked up a boulder and thrown it through the window. Simpletons! Simple expressions!

    Thank God for Art.

    Alcessa,
You’re right…sort of. I should have used the “o” instead of the “u”, but only if I wanted to combine the specific art in Michael’s picture into a new word. Namely kola, as in auto, and kultura, as in suave & sophisticated. Thusly, Kolatura.

And, as evidenced by said picture, this is a fine example of Kolatura

I love that! it’s better than the tiny parking ticket like note someone I know carries around a pad of that says ‘Next time use a can opener!’

Marvellous! The fact that you can make such an insult of accusing someone of not being cultured. Great stuff.
