Worst. Song. Ever.

I dare you to watch the whole thing.

I challenge you to watch this music video from start to finish. (Note: With the volume on. Watching it on mute isn’t much of a challenge.) The song is by the new Slovenian band 4ouR and it’s a 4-minute celebration of off-key singing. According to the description, "the title is Usojena sva si, which in english means ‘We are ment to be’." Here’s an alternate link in case the embedded video doesn’t work.

If your ear drums are still unpunctured and you’re eager for more, Novala recently uncovered Germany’s next superstars. Note that they also do a lot of singing and gesturing in the woods. Is this the beginning of a new trend?

(Thanks to Mitja, who showed it to me first, and to everyone else who hated me enough to send it along!

Gee, thanks for the download option, but you see - my hard disk is almost full and I have so many files already downloading… Another time, perhaps. :S

i see you got wind of this new slovene musical masterpiece. i can’t help but think that this is supposed to be some elaborate kaufmanesque joke. i find it hard to believe these smashing young gals and lad would honestly put this up as a serious music piece. sure, one is usually not susceptible to one’s own off-key performances, but this is absurd. rather than that, i think this ‘video’ is aiming at becoming the next fredy miler fad.btw, does anyone have the slightest idea how the name of the band is supposed to be read? or what it’s supposed to mean?

This must be a joke. Surely. Hopefully…..Ne?

If its not a joke, then it’s an unfortunate (ok, bad to be honest) attempt to make a Fredi Miler and Bepop mix video… but maybe they could make a breakthrough at "forbidden" show ;) just the girls should undress a bit, get away from snow (get some  voice training - but a lot can be improved in the studio - "mandolina" singer is a clear evidence) and they are ready :) Ok, and the guy should leave his moustache growing… and maybe get a green vest… hehhe

the BiH entry is SOOOO much better, go look at my blog, I took enough of a break fromt he latest MladicBabicMilosevicKaradzic related fiascos to put a link on my blog. The only way to suffer worse is probably whatever smrdljiv group the Bulgarians entered.

Oh, my GAWD!!!!! I admit, I didn’t have the stomack to watch the whole thing… Maybe now, when there’s an empty cell in the Hague we should send them all there and contribute to the world peace and stability. This song is definitely a crime against humanity :)))

You know when you’re a kid and your parents take an embarrassing photo or video of you — you think it’s gone, only to have it resurface when your latest crush is coming to pick you up for a date, or maybe at your wedding as part of some hideous but well-intentioned montage?  I think you can imagine (or recall) the humiliation. But these people did it to themselves. On purpose. AND PUT IT ON THE INTERNET.I am afraid of these people.

The weird thing is that the singing isn’t even pantonal, in the way that Ives’s Psalm 85 might be. It simply wanders. Possibly, modern composers could learn from this effect.

I think I’m in love with the fat guy in the weird hat. Any man who can’t sing at all, yet convinces 3 rather cute girls, who also can’t sing, to record it all on video, is DA MAN! Or gay.

First off, I agree with crni.  Secondly, I think perhaps 4our and Freddy Miller should get together and cut a single.  That would really rock!

I don’t know what’s all the fuss about. It’s a great song. I like it. I like it a lot.

It’s about as great has having one’s nipples pierced. The agony. :/  The only person on Earth who could sing worse than this is William Hung. Fredi Miler is a real artist compared to these kids. I agree with Susan, though. Poor babies. This will follow them throughout their lives. A life in politics is out of the question for these unfortunate souls.

oh, thank you so much for making me vomit on my keyboard… If the animals in that forest won’t die due to bird flu, these kiddies do the rest if they continue singing there. I didn’t think “Unique” were that good…

I managed to watch it for exactely 1 minute and 44 second, which would make a personal record. I have to agree with crni, though.

These kids should really wear warmer clothes. I mean, it’s winter and they don’t dress appropriately out there in the woods. Kinder!

Awesome, Magic! Can’t you see the depth of emotions, the symbolic behind snowy forest, the existential questions in the text:)) If it was made 22 years earlier we could consider it a prequel to Wham’s Last Christmas…

Hi I am from Slovenia and I just want to say that most of us slovenians have better taste for music, altough our pop scene SUX but we also have some good rock bands. About 4ours… It should be a joke, but it is not… unfortunally…
