Maribor Through Time

marburg an der drau.JPG
Marburg an der Drau, ages ago. (source)

The site Toti Maribor has some nice images of Slovenia’s second-city, Maribor. In particular, it lets you see how the city has changed (or hasn’t changed) over the decades. Here’s a timeline:

Maribor Today —> Maribor Back-Then —> Maribor Way-Back-When

(Thanks Mitja!

Nice, especially if one is ‘Maribor?an’. But looking at galleries like that I always miss short info, i.e. what’s on the photo, when it was taken, at what occasion, … It adds a lot of value to it. F.JPG doesn’t say a lot. Adding "Our mayor taking a walk on Glavni trg" would be nicer.

Nice, being a half-Mariborcan :)) I actually think Maribor back then used to look nicer than Maribor today. Well, it must be my Ljubljana born-and-bred character’s envy coming out to the surface, I guess …
