A banner for the Indian Village: Eagle’s Nest.
There is a little children’s playground on the base of the Pohorje mountain called Orlovo gnezdo (the Eagle’s Nest). I only have two problems with it:
1) You can’t name anything Eagle’s Nest anymore. Just like you can’t have a toothbrush moustache
anymore. Before 1933, sure. After 1945, definitely not. (Then again, I
suppose we can all be relieved that they didn’t name it the Wolfsschanze.)
2) Why does the Indian chief have to be an aryan? At the
very least they could’ve found someone with dark eyes, no? I like a
little bit of historical realism with my playgrounds, thank you very
much.
Otherwise, it’s perfect.
(Thanks Dances with Trons!)

Is that indian Alec Baldwin?
Oh, c’mon. The Germans never even called Hitler’s castle "Eagle’s
Nest". Where would such overzealous political correctness lead?Should
we also ban Volkswagen? And what about that dirty slovenian word
"pancar" for skiiing boots? Sounds an awful lot like "Panzer" to me.
Hey, you’ve got to work with what you’ve got.Maybe he’s some big muckity mucks brother in law.
Well, plenty of people had toothbrush moustaches before Hitler, but
that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have strong associations with the Nazis.
I’m not calling for anything to be banned or for the playground to be
burned to the ground and everyone inside stomped into paste. I just
found it humorous that they would use a name that has strong Nazi
associations. At least for me. That’s all. End transmission.
Orlovo gnezdo is also a name for a small bife near the Rinka waterfall.

Is swastika a Nazi symbol? (Petition for swastika symbol in windows fonts press)
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swastika Also ‘ Finally, not
mentioned in the text is the swastika’s use as the specific emblem of Ganesha, the
Hindu god of good luck‘ like here, www.oakriversoftware.com/vedicart/gallery/full/fulljs.html?pno=1801
But I admit, it is funny when Indian books on Vastu recomend to
put some auspitious sign like svastika on your front door.
damn i’m screwed I used to live in a log cabin in Eagle’s Nest New Mexico, it had a Franklin stove an’ everything. I loved it.
Well at least the ‘Indian’ has proper cheekbones and a broad face!
