Maribor: Keepin’ it real, even in satellite photos.
Mr. Vidmar over at Bite my Bytes recently noted that Google Maps had quietly added Slovenia, albeit with mixed resolutions. For example, Piran is as sharp as a knife, while Murska Sobota is as sharp as a 100-year-old knife that’s never been sharpened.
Enter now: GoogleEarth, a 3D interface to the planet. You can download a free version here.
The resolutions are still mixed, but the interface is fun to play
around with. You can really get a good sense of the country by having
the camera fly around from the coast to the east.
If you get bored, there’s always the moon.

Have you used the closest magnification on the moon? If not, do it NOW!
Hehehe, I always knew the moon was made of cheese =D
Ah, so they added higher-resolution scans of Slovenia?Has anyone else here wished that there was a "fry" button?
