The Ugliest Sculpture in Slovenia

This concete abomination is on Gosposvetska Street in Maribor.

Socialist monuments are rarely beautiful, but this one looks downright evil. Doesn’t it? Like it used to be a part of Barad-dûr or something. In truth, it was designed by Tone Lapajne in 1967 to celebrate Sauron’s triumph over Ar-Pharazon, King of Numenor for unknown reasons.

UPDATE: This thing made The Post-Star’s list of "Ten Ugly Things Created by Humans."
