Mujoterorista
"Mujo in a terrorist attack on Belgrade. Total casualties: One dead."

Mujo and Haso are two fictional Bosnian characters that appear in endless jokes across the former Yugoslavia. The jokes range from harmless to grotesque, but almost always focus on the stupidity and backwardness of the pair.

As Brian reports, they’re about to get their own DVD, featuring 63 sketches from the show Veseli december. The sketches are being directed by Branko Djurić, best known outside of Slovenia for his part as a Bosnian soldier in the award-winning film No Man’s Land.

Subtitles will be available in English, German and Italian, although I’m sure many of the jokes will be difficult to translate.

If anyone has a favorite Mujo or Haso joke, feel free to put it in the comments.
