In what must be the strangest cover in the history of Slovene publishing, the latest issue of gossip magazine Nova features a picture of Slovenian star Natalija Verboten with an open blouse and the words: “Natalija ima UVELE PRSI!!!” (Natalija has WITHERED BREASTS!!!)

The picture, whose authenticity is currently under dispute, shows the singing sensation with a mess of folds and skin where her widely-renowned cleavage normally is. It’s a bit unclear what’s going on, although it looks like she may be a victim of gravity.

The picture is pretty shocking. I also have to say that it’s a bit surprising how viciously Nova unleashes on Verboten, especially since they have a history of writing fluffy “what’s your favorite animal?” type stories about her. (See here and here, for example.)

I somehow doubt Verboten will agree to do any more of those after reading their latest headline: “Ostale so ji le še prazne malhe.” (All she has left are empty sacks.)

In the meantime, many Slovenes will be speculating on what happened to one of their favorite national landmarks.
