Yugoslavs decapitate two Germans in a Seussian WW2 propaganda poster.
The Catalog of Political Cartoons by Dr. Seuss has some fascinating WW2 propaganda drawings by America’s (most?) famous children’s author. About half of the roughly 200 cartoons are directed at Hitler while about 60 deal with Japan.
There are two under Yugoslavia, while Croatia makes a special appearance in this one — as a butterfly being clipped by Mussolini.

The German army as shown in this pripaganda poster is quite civilised. Even in such a situation soldiers talk about “fingerprints” and punishing “the guilty one”. (I mean not a word about - for instance - throwing enemies indiscriminately into caves.)

A good point. Especially towards the end of the war, “collective punishment” seems to have been the preferred method of “justice.”
Michael, if you mean Germans: throwing people into caves was NOT German speciality. We already know everything about the German crimes. It`s time to begin to say something about other people`s crimes too, especially if you live in Slovenia. IF YOU DARE!
I`m sure the atrocites in the last Balcan wars were possible because the events in Slovenia after WWII were never condemned by anybody. So the warlords of Bosnia, Serbia…beleived they would escape punishment just like their fathers once had. The patterns of mass murder were the same.
It was easy for Valvasor living in the 17th century God fearing Carniola to write about its “glory”. Today things are different. But of course it is not your duty to consider the dark side of this country.

Dr.Suess, I think is one of the most keenist people that lived. He had the greatest political cartoons, and books.
