    This is an interesting post again. I see that Slovenian “sekira” comes from Latin. I didn’t know that. Also interesting is the word “topor” meaning axe in Russian and Romanian. In Slovenian “topor” (an old form)or “toporisce” (the new form) means the wooden part of an axe e.g. axe-helve.
