Nachbar vs. Malone

The great Scott was at watching the Rockets-Lakers game on Sunday when Slovenian national Bostjan Nachbar “got into it with Karl Malone,” as he put it. Not being a fan of Malone, he cheered for the Slovenj Gradec-born forward, which we of course appreciate.

Scott kindly pointed me to some pictures of their scuffle, in which Nachbar managed to tear Malone’s jersey. (Scroll to the bottom to see.)

Malone said he would bring the torn jersey home to his kid, who’s “going to love it.”

The Lakers won 92:88.

Oh, no…I wasn’t at the game, I just caught it from my couch! It was still pretty damned funny though.

Bostjan Nachbar was born in Dravograd, not in Slovenj Gradec.

EDIT: my mistake, he WAS born in Slovenj Gradec. But everybody talks and writes about him as a ‘Dravograjcan’ because Dravograd si his home town.
