Relaxation at 900 meters: The new Nebesa Tourist Resort.
There’s a great story in the Slovenian magazine Mladina about a new tourist resort called Nebesa. (Heaven)
Nebesa consists of four small homes up in the Alps, close to the town of Kobarid/Caporetto, at an altitude of about 900 meters. It was built by Bojan and Katja Ros (a doctor and journalist, respectively) at a cost of roughly 1.7 million euros. Apparently it was a bit over budget, but the end result looks well worth it.
The homes can be rented for about 200 euros a day (price varies depending on staying time) and on a clear day, you can supposedly see all the way to Venice and the Adriatic.
The architect was Rok Klanjscek, whose next project will be the bus and railway station in Ljubljana.
