In an editorial for the national paper Delo entitled Evropski 11. September, Damijan Slabe writes:

Zato madridske eksplozije veliko bolj spominjajo na Al Kaido. Sinhrono, na veÄ? krajih hkrati, v konici, ko je gneÄ?a najveÄ?ja, po niÄ? hudega sluteÄ?ih in niÄ?esar krivih mimoidoÄ?ih. Super gnusno in super grozljivo hkrati. The Madrid explosions do have the hallmarks of al Qaeda: Detonating at the same time, at various locations, during rush hour, with peak crowds of unsuspecting and innocent people. It is both absolutely disgusting and absolutely horrifying.”

Slovenia’s President, Janez Drnovsek, has sent a letter of condolence to King Juan Carlos, while Slovenia’s Foreign Ministry is reporting that no Slovenian citizens have been identified among the victims so far.
